Local Area Agreements (LAAs) are three-year agreements between central government and a local area that set out priorities for the area. They offer increased local choice about expenditure and reduced bureaucracy.
Aimed at improving co-ordination and partnership working, the agreements pull together local authorities, local strategic partnerships and other key partners - including organisations from the voluntary & community sector.
